The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as i am, then I can change.

About Me

I’m James and I'm a BACP accredited therapist working in Manchester City Centre, Widnes & Online. As a Neurodiverse and LGBTQ+ therapist I have a lived experience in these areas and work extensively with clients in these communities. I have 18 years’ experience working for large corporate companies and understand the difficulties people face managing a stressful job as well as life commitments. I have worked with many clients experiencing overwhelm and struggling to find the right work life balance.

Phrases I often hear when people talk about coming to counselling:

“I wouldn’t know what to say” or “I’d have nothing to talk about”

“I just get on with things and don’t talk about my feelings”

“I’m fine, I don’t need therapy”

“They wouldn’t understand”

“They will judge me when they hear my issues”

“I don’t have time at the moment”

Does any of this sound familiar? These are common concerns people have before coming to counselling and I offer a free consultation to understand what is troubling you and how I might be able to help.
